Tom Hanks claimed that there were no Black GIs in the area but, he must if known about the 761st and the any where you see them Air Balloons above the the warshios and on the beaches.... Them Balloons are called Barrage Balloons. There Anit Aircraft things all manned and set up by a 3 Man team who were all Black. You cannot say it omits the history of black soldiers. However black soldiers in WW2 definitely don't get the credit they deserve. Miracle at St. Anna by Spike Lee was about the 92nd Infantry Division, However I found the movie to be a disappointment and didn't do justice to the men it portrayed.
